Vestry

Linda Ouellette
Senior Warden

I am a long-time resident of Hopkinton and have been attending St. Michael’s for about 7 years.  I grew up in Chelmsford, Massachusetts and have two sisters and a brother.  I have two grown children – my daughter Lauren, who is married and living in Salt Lake City, and my son Alex (“Al” to everyone but his family), who lives locally.  I also have 2 dogs, who are my “other” two children:  Cupid (a Weimaraner mix) and Henry (a Dachshund).

While on Vestry, I have served as Clerk, Junior Warden and Senior Warden.  A good deal of my focus has been overseeing our outreach ministries, including donations to the local food pantries and our Loaves & Fishes dinners with the women of Serenity House and Shadows. I have also served on the Stewardship Committee and as a delegate to the Diocesan Annual Convention.

I work as an attorney in Boston, where I concentrate my practice in family law.  I like my job because it allows me to help people who are often in crisis to get to a better place in their lives.

I enjoy going to the theater, ballet and concerts at the Handel & Hayden Society for Sunday matinee performances.  I love to garden, cook, and entertain (especially around the holidays).  Baking a multitude of cookies at Christmastime is an annual tradition.   I am passionate about raising money for breast cancer research and awareness and I walk annually in the Komen 3-day (60 Mile) Walk to raise money.  I also love to travel.  My trip to the Holy Land in 2017 with Bishop Gayle Harris and other “pilgrims” from local parishes in the Diocese was a highlight of my travels.

Dana Frye
Junior Warden

I’ve been at St. Michael’s since 2007 (my wife Karen and I started attending together and we were married there in 2008. I grew up in the Main South neighborhood of Worcester, MA.  I have two sisters – one older and one younger. I am currently serving on the Vestry, act as a LEM and an usher. I work as a control systems engineer, focusing on drinking water and wastewater treatment facilities. When I’m not working, I enjoy playing tennis and Karen and I like to dance socially.

Ted Comstock
Treasurer

I am a lifelong Episcopalian and have been a member of St. Michael’s since 1990.  My wife and I have lived in Holliston since 1984 and we have two grown daughters.  I grew up in Seekonk, MA, which is about an hour from here, and attended St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Pawtucket, RI through my college years.  I worked in Accounting and Corporate Finance for 42 years.  My last position was Director of Finance for the U.S. Holding company of a UK publishing firm.  I retired in February 2017.  Shortly after, I assumed the position of Treasurer for St. Michael’s.  I am also a member of the vestry and served as a LEM for approximately 20 years.  My wife and I keep a regular regimen at our gym and we enjoy traveling with our timeshare.

My husband Bob and I have been members of St Michael’s for about 10 years – we came here after the closing of St. Paul’s in Millis where we were members since 1968.  I was a founding member of the Charles River Chorale where I met Roy Kelley in 1974 to represent the Town of Millis in our Bi-Centennial celebration and am a member of your choir, music being a very important part of my life.  I am proud to say that I served on the Search Committee that found our wonderful Rector, Sarah Robbins-Cole – certainly a blessing from God! I have been married to my husband for 57 years (we married very young!) and we have 2 children, our son Seann and our daughter Kristin both of whom live nearby.  We have recently become parents of a Golden Retriever puppy named Holly whom we acquired after the loss of our Lily (also a Golden Retriever ) at 12 years of age.  Our Church family is very important to us and we feel blessed that we have found such a loving and giving congregation at ST. Michael’s.  The friends we have made here are a great part of our lives. I serve as secretary to our Council on Aging here in Millis as well as member of the Millis Fund and the Leadership committee of the Millis Garden Club. I am also leader of our Pastoral Care Committee taking the responsibility from Nan Malone after her many years of service.  If anyone has any need of prayers for themselves or a loved one please feel free to contact me or any member of our committee.  We will do the best we can to support you and your loved ones. I am proud to serve on your Vestry.

I live in Holliston with my husband Bruce, my two daughters Grace and Julia, our two dogs and three cats.  I have been attending St. Michael’s for 16 years and have been a member of the choir for all of those years.  I’ve lived in Massachusetts most of my life with the exception of a 2-year stint living in Los Alamitos, CA .  My career is in higher education, and I’m currently working at Wellesley College in Wellesley, MA.  When I’m not at church or work, I enjoy gathering with family and friends, Patriots football, baking, and nature walks.

I live in Holliston with my husband Craig, two children, Kenzie and Logan, and our dog Piper.  I have been a member of St. Michael’s for over 12 years. I am currently a lector, co-chair of Outreach fundraising, and this is my first term on Vestry. I work for a geriatric care management practice as a Care Manager Assistant and Director of Development where I have the opportunity to work with families that are facing issues around cognitive impairment, dementia and mental health diagnoses.  I enjoy taking long hikes with Piper, reading and spending time at the ocean.

My daughter Elizabeth and I joined St Michael’s in 2005, so we’ve called St Michael’s our hone for 16 years!  I previously served on the Vestry back in 2007 and am happy to be on the Vestry again now.  My daughter is currently the Youth Director. Or consider where you grew up. Born in Philadelphia, I grew up in a northern NJ lakeside town until a teen, then we moved to southeast Florida. I got my art degrees  at U of F undergrad, and Boston grad school. My daughter, Elizabeth (when she was 2 weeks old)  and I are an adoptive family!  I’m involved with the Adult Education ministry. I started as a designer then taught high school art for 8 years.  But ended up as mainframe Software Engineer for 35 years (Raytheon, TJX & Putnam Investments)! I retired 4 years ago and am now busier than ever, returned to my art (took Zoom art classes with my favorite out of state instructors during the Pandemic), play tennis 4-6x/week, and travel -US and abroad. Bike and barge in Provence, hiking in Scotland.  Have upcoming trips to Croatia, St Martin, Namibia, and South Africa.

I am a member of St. Michael’s Church in Holliston and a new member of the vestry. I was formerly a long-time member of St. Paul’s Church in Millis and served on the vestry there also.  After St. Paul’s Church was closed, my husband and I joined St. Michael’s where we became members of a new parish family. We both grew up in Westwood and presently live in Franklin.
I am the mother of two sons and a daughter and a grandmother of five grandsons and one granddaughter.  Added to that are my husband’s two daughters and his two grandsons and two granddaughters.  They are all great blessings to us!
I am retired.  My work life was working with college students in the areas of employment, internships and development. It was a pleasure to work with that age group, seeing them work toward fulfilling lives ahead.
It goes without saying that sharing our home and activities with our family and friends gives me much enjoyment!  I am interested in interior decorating, antiquing, crosswords, Scrabble and reading, especially books concerning the history of WWII. I had the honor of visiting Normandy and the remembrances at Pearl Harbor. I have much to be thankful for in so many ways.

I’ve been teaching church school to our youngest parishioners for over 23 years. I’m involved in fellowship and pastoral care.
