Worship

The parish’s life is centered around the Eucharist, which is celebrated every Sunday. The Eight O’Clock Service, in traditional language, offers a quiet, contemplative atmosphere. The Ten O’Clock Service, in contemporary language, is the parish’s main service and has a rich music program.

Children are welcomed at worship at St. Michael’s. There is also child care for infants during the Ten O’Clock Service. Children attend Church School classes at 9:45 AM and then join their families for Communion. From time to time, children attend the entire service and there is a children’s sermon or a special Church School pageant. The Children’s Choir performs on feast days and other special occasions.

Parishioners participate in worship in many ways. The Choir sings a variety of classical and contemporary music and welcomes anyone who enjoys singing.

Other parishioners serve as lay ministers, acolytes, and ushers and as members of the Altar Guild, which handles all the preparations for worship.
